Hypertune AEO audit

18 October 2026. What hypertune.gg gets right and wrong for answer engines (ChatGPT search, Perplexity, Claude search, Google AI Overviews). Compared with the 1 October audit.

How this was checked. Live HTML was fetched with Python on 18 October 2026: the homepage, sitemap, robots.txt, pricing, technology, expert tuning, guides, and the URLs that used to be safety and game pages. Bot access is a spoofed user-agent probe of the homepage, not a Cloudflare dashboard export. The help centre and the "best FPS booster" lists were checked through web search, because Freshdesk now redirects to a login and the list sites were not all fetched in full. Live answers in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode were not run.

Bottom line

Answer crawlers can read the site, and the price on the homepage, the pricing page and the homepage schema now agree: $9.99 a month or $69.99 a year, with a 7-day money-back guarantee. That is the main improvement since 1 October.

Engines can still describe Hypertune wrongly. The homepage also says "try for free for 7 days" and "up to 60%" gains. Expert tuning says a Battlefield 6 average boost of 18-140 FPS. A search index still holds an old help article at $4.99 a month or $47.99 a year, even though that URL no longer serves the article. There is still no page whose job is to answer "best FPS booster", "is Hypertune safe", "Hypertune vs Hone", or a single game, and the roundups engines cite for those questions do not name Hypertune.

What is right

Answer crawlers can read the homepageHTTP 200 for Googlebot, bingbot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot, Claude-SearchBot and Google-Extended. ChatGPT search, Perplexity and Claude search are not blocked.

What is wrong

CheckWhy it matters for answersEvidence
Performance claims still disagreeAn engine can quote any number it finds.Homepage: "Users see up to 60% gains", plus a 130 FPS off / 210 FPS on graphic, plus a quote of "400+ FPS". /expert-tuning: "BATTLEFIELD 6 Average boost 18-140 FPS" and a separate "673 FPS" line. No method page says which figure is the claim.
"Free for 7 days" and "money-back" are both on the siteThose are different offers. One is a trial before billing. The other is a refund after payment.Homepage close: "Try Hypertune for free for 7 days". Pricing card and the technology FAQ: "7 day money-back guarantee" and "request a full refund within 7 days of your first payment".
The 42% discount sits next to a 60% performance claimA model can merge the two 42s, which is what the 1 October audit warned about. The help centre's "up to 42% FPS" line is no longer public, but the badge remains.Pricing block: "SAVE 42 %" immediately above $69.99/year.
Safety and uninstall URLs no longer answer under their own addressAnyone who linked the old URLs, and any engine that stored them, now lands on a page titled "Five features behind one click."/what-hypertune-changes and /uninstall return 301 to /technology. The answers exist lower on that page. There is no /is-hypertune-safe page. That URL returns 500 and noindex.
Retired game URLs go to the homepageA redirect of many old URLs to the homepage is a soft 404. It does not answer "Hypertune for Valorant"./game/valorant and /game/rust return 301 to /. /rust and /fortnite return 500, noindex.
No page is built to be cited for the categoryFor "best FPS booster" the engines use roundups and rival pages. Hypertune has no comparison page and no benchmark method page./benchmark, /compare and /hypertune-vs-hone return 500, noindex. A web search on 18 October of six "best FPS booster / game booster" lists (Techlasi, BetterFPS, TechBloat, TechYorker, OptiLag, Gitnux) did not name Hypertune. They name Razer Cortex, MSI Afterburner, Hone, Wise Game Booster and others. This is a search snapshot, not a full results-page check.
Old domain links all land on the homepageA link to a specific compready.gg path no longer reaches the matching page.https://compready.gg/expert-tuning and https://compready.gg/pricing both 301 to https://hypertune.gg/. On 1 October, compready.gg paths went to /expert-tuning.
The indexed help article can still be quotedThe live URL is gone, but a search index copy from 18 October still contains the old price and the line "AMD CPU support is coming soon", plus $3.99 billed annually on an old variant.Search result for the Freshdesk article "Common Questions and Concerns Prior To Purchasing". Direct fetch did not return that body. Treat the old price as cached, not as a page we could open.
Press prices are older than the siteCategory answers often cite press, not the pricing page. Not re-fetched in full (TweakTown returned 403 to the script). Search highlights of the September articles: TweakTown, 10 September, $9.99 a month or $119.99 a year; TechPowerUp, 9 September, $9.99 a month or about $59.99 a year.
Training crawlers are blocked while robots.txt allows themThis does not stop today's ChatGPT, Perplexity or Claude search answers. It keeps the site out of data those companies use to train later models. The firewall and robots.txt still disagree.GPTBot, ClaudeBot, CCBot and Bytespider: 403, "Your request was blocked." robots.txt has no matching disallow.
Headings do not ask the buyer's questionThe winning unit is a passage that answers one question near the top of a page about that question.Homepage H1: "Boost your gaming performance with one click." Pricing H1: "The cheapest upgrade you'll ever buy." Technology H1: "Five features behind one click."
/llms.txt errorsLow impact. Google says it does not use llms.txt for AI Overviews. A 500 is still the wrong response if an agent requests the file./llms.txt returns 500 with noindex. On 1 October it was a 404.
AI visibility is still unmeasuredRankings do not show whether answers name Hypertune or quote the right price. The 18-prompt set from the 1 October audit has not been run here. No Search Console AI report, Bing AI Performance, or GA4 referral counts were available for this check.

What changed since 1 October

Do next

  1. Pick one performance claim and one trial offer, and use those words on the homepage, pricing, technology and expert tuning. Point the FPS number at a method page.
  2. Reword "SAVE 42 %" so it cannot be read as an FPS gain. "Save $49.89" states the same discount.
  3. Give the safety answers their own URL again, with the question in the title and the answer in the first sentences. Keep the 301 from the old paths, but send each old path to that page, not to a features page or the homepage.
  4. Map each linked compready.gg path to the closest live page. Leave only unknown paths on the homepage.
  5. Ask the outlets that still print $119.99 or $59.99 a year to use $69.99 a year and $9.99 a month.
  6. Run the 18 prompts from the 1 October audit, three times each, on ChatGPT search, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode. Record whether Hypertune is named, which URL is cited, and whether the price is $69.99 a year.
